Be still and confident of the ground upon which you stand.
By Louise Sutherland-Hoyt
Crumple up your resume. Fold your degrees.
They’re not your essence. They’re not your worth.
You are not just a string of credentials. You are not merely a job title lining your résumé. You are not defined by the accolades you’ve accumulated.
Strip it all back.
Stand in your truth.
Your worth lives in your presence, your breath, your being.
Because when it all comes down to it, your ashes will be lifted and carried by the same wind that blows through the county landfill.
And that is not a tragedy. That is clarity.
Be still. Be here. Be you.
Take a breath. Place your hand on your heart, listen to the still..
