Monday Being Monday

This morning, each of us will rise to meet with arrogance, ingratitude, vanity, and ignorance. A truth to be acknowledged.

Don’t be so surprised, my friend, especially if you’ve been presuming that if you were kind to others, they would be nice to you.

That’s just Monday being Monday.

That kind of discontent belongs to them. The ones moaning and groaning about what’s beyond their control.
They’ve earned it. We all have a right to it. So it’s a choice.

What’s ours—what really matters, is how we answer.

We can get swept up, get snarky, or we can stand our ground.  Head on our shoulders.  Steady.  Patient. Present.

Today, be decent, even when it’s inconvenient.

Truth?

No one can reach inside us and wreck a peace well-earned unless we hand over the keys to our peace.
